Site policy and privacy

OpenStory Studio is an independent professional learning site operated by Jewoong Moon. Updated November 1, 2026.

Using the studio

Create an account only if you are 18 or older. Use respectful language and submit only work you have permission to share. Do not upload confidential organizational content, API keys, passwords or private learner records.

Learning records

Moodle stores your account details, activity visits, submissions, quiz and SCORM attempts, grades, completion and technical security logs. Teaching staff can review submissions and grades. Other learners can see your profile name and anything you choose to post in forums. Account email addresses are hidden from classmates by default.

Purpose and storage

Records are used to deliver the course, provide feedback, track progress and secure the site. The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States. OpenStory Studio has its own database and file storage. Backups are kept for seven days; technical logs are configured for a maximum of 365 days. Course records remain while the account is active unless a deletion request or the applicable retention policy requires removal.

Your choices

You can edit your profile and use Moodle data requests to request a copy of your data or account deletion. Contact site support for help. Course activities are not used as research data without separate applicable review and consent.

Your practice workspace

The Moodle practice editor requires login and active course enrollment. It stores working projects on your computer through local files/downloads; it does not automatically upload a project as an assignment. Upload assessed work separately. Browser preferences are namespaced by Moodle account, and this practice build does not install an offline service worker.

Optional services

The OpenStory authoring app opens separately. Local-file browser practice does not require Google sign-in or a paid AI account. Choosing Google Drive, AI providers, media search or other external services sends the content you choose to that service under its own terms. Equivalent manual practice is available. Never put sensitive content into an AI prompt or public showcase.

Access and support

Tutorials include English narration, burned-in captions, caption files and descriptive transcripts. Core tasks have keyboard or equivalent routes. Automated checks do not establish full accessibility; screen-reader and human pilot validation have not been completed. Report barriers to site support and use the equivalent structured walkthrough where needed. This self-paced release does not promise a live support or grading turnaround.

Materials and claims

Original course text and editable templates are CC BY 4.0. OpenStory software is MIT licensed. Third-party professional standards are linked rather than relicensed. The cover was generated with Higgsfield and narration with an AI voice. This course does not award university credit or an accredited professional qualification.
